When you use Mechanical Trader, we collect the following information:
Account information: your email address and name.
Trading behavioral data: your trading rules, response scripts, session records, check-in responses, tilt interactions, grades, and weekly review summaries. This is behavioral data about your trading process, not financial data. We do not collect profit/loss, account balances, brokerage information, or any financial data.
AI conversation content: the messages you exchange with the AI coaching system during intake, check-ins, reflections, and reviews.
Usage data: timestamps, session counts, and AI usage metrics for service operation and cost management.
Your data is used to provide and personalize the service. Specifically: to generate personalized AI coaching responses based on your behavioral profile, to track your progress over time, to improve the service, and to manage costs. We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your individual data with other users.
Your conversation messages are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. Anthropic processes these messages to generate AI responses. Anthropic's data retention and privacy policies apply to this processing. We encourage you to review Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy. We do not use your conversations to train AI models.
Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security. Your data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Database access is restricted by authentication and authorization policies. Server-side API keys are never exposed to the browser.
We use essential cookies for authentication (maintaining your login session). We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies from third parties.
You have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data. You can update your profile information at any time within the app. To request full account deletion including all associated data, contact us at support@mechanicaltrader.ai. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, all personal data and associated records will be permanently deleted within 30 days. Anonymized aggregate data may be retained for service improvement.
We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, row-level database security, server-side API key management, input sanitization, and rate limiting. No system is perfectly secure. If you discover a security vulnerability, please contact us immediately at support@mechanicaltrader.ai.
Mechanical Trader is not intended for use by anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
