Patterns

What it is

A pattern is the specific way your execution comes apart under pressure: revenge entries after a stop-out, cutting winners the moment they breathe, sizing up when you feel certain. Yours were identified with the coach when you started, and the patterns page is where you can see them.

Everything about a pattern comes from you. Through the morning review and your sessions, the coach learns in your own words how it starts, what it feels like as it builds, and what you do instead when it hits.

Why it is there

Mechanical Trader uses your patterns to help you in the moment. When one starts showing up in a live session, the coach recognizes it and steps in early, using your own words, while there is still time to act. The better it knows the pattern, the earlier it can catch it.

The pattern also sharpens through use. Mornings after it fired, the review looks at what happened and tightens the picture with you, so the coach catches it a little earlier next time.

How to use it

There is nothing to maintain. Answer the coach and the morning review honestly when they ask about the pattern; that conversation is where it gets built. The early signs are the valuable part: anyone can name the full-blown version, but the first tell is what buys you time.

The compounding effect

Every time the pattern fires is a chance to catch it. Over weeks the catches come earlier: after the trade, then during, then at the first sign. That shift is the product working.
